Quality management
Quality is the foundation of our business operations. GLEICH customers have appreciated our high quality standards for decades and can rely on them still. Because we are continuously learning and improving, we hold and expand upon our leading position in the global aluminum cast plate market.
The focus on customer satisfaction is also the main constituent of ISO9001 and a main factor why we have been able to establish long-term relationships with distributors all over the world. You can find our current certificates as downloads here.
The foundation for consistently high quality is largely determined by process reliability and consistency in the company. High process reliability is reflected not only in quality but is also rewarded in foreign trade. We are proud that GLEICH Aluminiumwerk GmbH & Co. KG was awarded the status “full” (F) / Customs simplifications / Reliability as Authorized Economic Operator in December 2015 (AEO-F).
Environmental management
Sustainability is important to us. We try to counter the fact that primary aluminum requires a large amount of energy resources in the production process by taking advantage of a major benefit of aluminum – its 100% recyclability. That is why we prefer to purchase ingots, which consist of secondary aluminum.
In our manufacturing process, accumulated aluminum scraps, chips and cast skin are brought back to our suppliers and used to produce new aluminum slabs after remelting.
To continuously pursue and improve our careful use of resources and ecologically friendly activities, we maintain an environmental management system according to ISO 14001 and an energy management system according to ISO 50001. You can find our current certificates as downloads.
Our operations in Germany were successfully recertified in terms of quality management, environmental protection and energy management by TÜV NORD in December 2018.
