Sustainability at GLEICH

Sustainability is one of our core values at GLEICH. Producing primary aluminum is energy-intensive, so we take advantage of aluminum’s ability to be 100% recycled. We significantly reduce our resource consumption by prioritizing the use of recycled secondary aluminum ingots.
Throughout our production process, we collect aluminum scrap, chips, and cast skins, which we return to our suppliers. These materials are remelted to create new aluminum slabs. This closed-loop system minimizes waste and supports a cleaner, more sustainable manufacturing cycle.
To promote continuous environmental performance, we maintain and follow these internationally recognized management systems:

• ISO 14001 for environmental management

• ISO 50001 for energy management

Our German operations were recertified in December 2018 by TÜV NORD for quality, environmental, and energy management.
